Consulate General of Turkey in Tabriz, situated in northwestern part of Iran, 280 km far from Turkey and which was founded in 1921, is one of the oldest Turkish missions abroad. The Consulate General is serving area in Iran includes East Azerbaijan, Ardabil, Zanjan and Gilan.

The Consulate General has the importance for improving the relations between İran and Turkey with the other missions of Turkey in Iran. The Consulate General is dealing with the consular affairs of Turkish nationals and İranian citizens.
